Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT)


We offer a unique Yoga Teacher Training program with elements of Ayurveda.  In our training program you will learn to become a Yoga Teacher who can design asana and pranayama classes for different body types base on your students Prakriti (Vata Pitta and Kapha). You will also learn some nutritional recipes for Vata Pitta and Kapha.

Stress is one of the leading causes for various disease manifestation. When one is able to manage their stress they can prevent and diseases. Our SMS is a unique Teacher training program where you will learn special techniques in helping your students reduce stress 

Ayurvedic Nutrition & Lifestyle Certification


This is a unique programme that will give you a good foundation in understanding the Ayurvedic principles of nutrition. You will learn how to assess the Prakriti (Vata Pitta Kapha) of your students and how to design a customised diet and lifestyle programme for your students.

Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT)

Yoga is not about postures or therapy.  Classical yoga, particularly in Patanjali Yoga Sutra, yoga is defined as that which Masters the Mind.   According to Ayurveda and Yoga, taking care of your Mind is as good as taking care of your Life these sciences see a close connection between Mind and Body.   In the commercial world, the focus of yoga is on the body and posture while in classical yoga, the main purpose of learning these techniques (postures, breathing, cleansing, etc) is to manage the mind thereby getting in touch with one’s inner power. 

In  this AYTT program, apart from learning the basics of yoga postures, breathing etc, the emphasis is on understanding and managing the mind from an Ayurvedic and Yogic perspective.


The YTT Course systematically integrates the fundamental principles of yogic philosophy and Ayurvedic philosophy, the various aspects of Yoga-Asanas (postures), Pranayama (vital breath mastery), a deeper understanding of Mind (manas. Our AYTT enables the participant to understand and impart the knowledge of Yoga and Ayurveda in its truest sense. Students will also have an overview of Ayurveda and learn the basic principles of Pancha Mahabhuta (5 Great States) and the 3 Functional Principles known as Vata Pitta and Kapha. Students will learn these Ayurvedic concepts and how to corelate these principles with Yoga and how to customize Yoga classes for different body types.

Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training (AYTT) is a unique Certificate program specially designed by Innergy Ayurveda & Yoga in collaboration with M. S. Ramaiah Indic Centre for Ayurveda and Integrative Medicine (MSR ICAIM)  (Bangalore, India) and Ayurveda Association of Singapore (AAOS).
It is understood that Yoga is part and parcel of living an Ayurvedic lifestyle. Learning the Ayurvedic Yoga Teacher Training, with an understanding of Ayurveda will give the Students a holistic healing approach to living.

You will learn

  • The techniques of basic Yoga-asanas (postures), including the benefits & contra-indications of each posture
  • The appropriate teaching techniques for each asana.
  • The practical aspect of Pranayama, Kriya (Cleansing), Trataka etc.
  • Principles of Ayurveda Panchamahabhuta
  • Baiscs of dosha (Vata Pitta Kapha)
  • Learn simple nutritional tips to balance the 3 doshas
  • Customised postures for different Prakriti (Vata Pitta and Kapha)

SMS (Self Management of Stress Teacher Training)

Studies show that stress is an underlying cause of many ailments such as insomnia, nervousness, worry, high blood pressure, respiratory disorders, diabetes, depression and even cancer.  Stress not only suppresses the immune system but also makes a person susceptible to further diseases.  Stress is also a major factor for affecting memory and lowering productivity.  

Research  also show the importance of proper sleep as quality sleep helps the brain drainage system flush out toxins during sleep period.  Furthermore quality sleep also allows the brain to store information into the long term storage memory storage area as well as reorganize information in an orderly fashion.  However Stress hampers sleep thereby affecting the brain function and leading to long term health issues such as dementia, memory loss etc.

Self Management of Stress (SMS) is a unique, multi-dimensional approach to manage stress at the physical, mental and emotional levels. Research shows that SMS calms the mind, improves the immune system, reduces stress and brings about homeostasis within the body. It balances the sympathetic and parasympathetic nervous system and improves the quality of sleep. 

SMS teacher training will provide participants with a deeper understanding of stress and its consequences at the physical, mental and emotional level and how excessive stress affects health. Participants will learn the traditional concept of mind and stress and how it affects every cell in the body thereby creating short and long term ailments. Understanding the body’s physiology from both a conventional and traditional standpoint is the key to provide advice to others on how to balance their lifestyle.

Participants will learn both theoretical and practical techniques to help teach their students manage stress thereby increasing overall health and productivity.

  1. Sound Waves

What are the types of sound waves  (Beta, Alpha, Theta and Delta) and how Yoga perceives these waves and how it can be applied in yoga lessons.

  1. The Five Great States

A deeper look at the 5 states and how to apply them in SMS class

  1. Role of the Mind in Yoga and health

Why does yoga regard Mind as man’s best friend or worst enemy.  Learn to understand your mind and how to make it your best friend

  1. Class Planning

Learn how to design the SMS for different groups and times.
